🔩Forgemaging on Sirius

On this page, you’ll find a complete guide/tutorial on Sirius ’s Forgemaging system, written by Bliby.

📜 Basics

You can find a table of runes and their specific sink values for Sirius (slightly different from the official server) just below the tutorial.

🔄 Differences from the official server

  • On the official server, once an item’s stats exceed a certain cap, you must use RA runes to continue FM.

  • On Sirius :

    • There are no restrictions on runes: any rune can be applied regardless of the stat cap on the item.

📊 Analyzing Your Item: Generating Sink

To succeed in FM, it’s crucial to analyze your item and determine which stat line is best to overmage in order to generate sink.

Sink Basics

Each characteristic has a “sink value.” Here are a few examples:

  • 2 Vitality = 1 sink

  • 1 Wisdom = 3 sinks

  • 1 Main Stat (Strength, Intelligence, Chance, Agility) = 1 sink

💡 Example: Ink Veil

Base stats:

  • 350 Vitality → 175 sink

  • 70 Intelligence → 70 sink

  • 70 Strength → 70 sink

  • 40 Wisdom → 120 sink

Which line should you overmage?

  • Vitality is the heaviest line (175 sink).

  • Therefore, it’s the one you’ll focus on for generating the most sink.

⚙️ Step-by-Step Process

1️⃣ Step 1: Raise Vitality

  • Try to push Vitality above 350 right away.

  • 💡 Tip: Don’t stop at exactly 350 — that makes overmaging harder.

  • Aim for 341–349, then use a PA Vi rune to reach 351+ Vitality.

2️⃣ Step 2: Break Your Overmage

  • Once you’re at 351+ Vitality, break the overmage with a low-cost rune on a line that isn’t yet perfect.

Example:

  • 355 Vita, 70 Strength, 53 Intelligence, 35 Wisdom.

⚠️ Avoid using Strength runes if that stat is already perfect — if it passes, it will reset the sink. Prefer a Ine rune (1 sink) over a Sa rune (3 sinks) to minimize costs. If the rune passes without lowering Vitality, try again.

3️⃣ Step 3: Randomness & Sink Generation

  • If you lose Vitality, you generate sink.

Example:

  • Lose 40 Vitality → 20 sink generated – 1 sink for the Ine rune used = 19 sink available.

  • Bring Vitality back up between 341–349, then use the leftover sink to raise other stats (Intelligence, Resistances, etc.).

4️⃣ Step 4: Repeat the Cycle

  • When you run out of sink, over Vitality again, break it, then repeat.

  • You may lose a lot of Vitality (e.g., 200 Vita → 150 lost = 75 sink generated).

  • Keep raising Vitality and other stats until you reach your perfect jet, while keeping a small margin to continue breaking overs later.

📋 Rune Table

Puits = SINK

🎯 Live Tutorial: Example with Ink Veil

1️⃣ Preparing the Item

Bring the item close to a perfect jet:

  • All % Resistances, Damages, Critical Hits, and Wisdom at 40.

  • Leave a small margin on Strength/Intelligence (e.g., 66 Strength/Intell).

2️⃣ Attempting an Exo (e.g., +100 Chance)

  • There’s no strict maximum for overmaging, but so far, no items have been seen with more than +120 stats on the same line.

  • If the stat already exists, the over is capped at 2x its base max value.

Examples:

  • Max Strength = 40 → max possible over = 80.

  • Max Strength = 70 → max possible over = 140.

    • ⚠️ However, rune success rates beyond 100 are very low, and almost impossible past 120.

3️⃣ Over & Break Vitality Again

  • Resume overmaging Vitality, then break it to generate sink.

  • Then decide:

    • Option 1: Perfect Strength, Intelligence, and Vitality, then try the Chance exo.

    • Option 2: Keep overmaging Vitality to generate even more sink.

4️⃣ Attempting the Exo with Available Sink

💡 Tip: Having at least 50 sink is recommended to attempt a +100 stat exo (but it’s not mandatory).

Example:

  • Use RA Cha runes.

  • Sometimes you’ll succeed +100 Chance with only 30 sink.

  • Other times, you won’t even get +20 Chance with 100 sink… that’s FM life!

✅ Once Your Sink is Used Up

Case 1: If the jet looks good

  • Attempt your Exo.

  • Success rate = 1/5 if you’re VIP.

  • If it passes: GG! 🎉

  • If not: restart from the beginning.

Case 2: If the jet isn’t good, but the Exo passes

  • You can break the AP (or MP) exo with another RA rune (still RA Cha in our example).

  • This generates +90 sink, which can then be used to push your stat exo further (here: Chance).

Example:

  • If you had PA + 30 Chance, the +30 Chance remains untouched when breaking the AP exo.

  • After raising the stats again, you can reattempt your Exo.
